On March 7, 2006, the Youth Society Scholarship was awarded for the second time. The scholarship went to Tomasz Majstrzyk and Oleksander Romanynets, both students of the first year at the Management and Marketing program. ‘We were extremely impressed by both candidates’ intellectual abilities therefore we decided to grant two one-semester scholarships instead of one, full-year scholarship,’ said a member of the committee granting the scholarship.

In order to apply for the scholarship this year, the candidates had to submit the application questionnaire, current CV, letter of reference and three essays on the given topics. These documents were reviewed by the Committee consisting of representatives of Youth Society and WSB-NLU officials, who decided on the shortlist of candidates to be interviewed. The goal of the scholarship, which was funded by the Youth Society, is to fulfill the educational dreams of freshmen from WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz. All first year students of WSB-NLU were eligible. In principle, the scholarship covers the tuition costs for one person during the whole academic year. The final decision on the number of recipients, however, is taken by the Committee.
