The Jury consisting of Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, executive director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and former Prime Minister; Leszek Czarnecki, founder of Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy (European Leasing Fund); Andrzej Dębowski, founder of Domplast; Jerzy Koźmiński, president of the Polish – American Freedom Foundation; Jacek Siwicki, executive partner in Enterprise Investors and Maria Wiśniewska, former President of Pekao SA granted Rector Krzysztof Pawłowski the main award for ‘ his ability to create an institution of higher education as a profit-making enterprise that fully implements its mission of offering young people the highest quality education. For his vision and determination in its implementation.’
Next year in Monte Carlo, Krzysztof Pawłowski is going to represent Poland during the contest whose purpose is to elect ‘World Entrepreneur of the Year. It is the first time that a Leader of a Polish enterprise will be able to compete directly with his colleagues from abroad. This year was the first when the Polish contest for ‘The Entrepreneur of the year’ was organized. There were fourteen candidates short-listed who represented nine companies from various sectors of the economy. The contest, which originated in 1986 in the US, is nowadays organized in 40 countries worldwide.
