Newsweek 2005

For the fourth time, Newsweek presented its ranking of institutions of higher education. At the weekly’s commission, the Public Opinion Research Institute from Sopot asked more than 600 top Polish firms and institutions who they most willingly employ. The questionnaire was sent to banks, listed companies, insurance firms, advertising agencies and state institutions. They were questioned which schools their employees graduated from. The authors of the ranking were interested in the so-called ‘young employees’ i.e., persons up to 33 years of age who started working not long ago. WSB-NLU was placed 43 among private schools. Among all firms surveyed, 22 firms reported  5 managers and 25 specialists holding WSB-NLU diplomas. The WSB-NLU position in this survey would have been much better if the survey had covered smaller private companies and foreign corporations. The majority of WSB-NLU graduates start their own businesses, run family businesses and , more importantly, find very attractive and lucrative jobs in corporations and institutions abroad.

Our research has shown that comprehensive education supported with the American diploma enabled many WSB-NLU graduates to find employment all over the world: from Australia, Brazil, American and European metropolis to Moscow and Shanghai. Many alumni hold high  positions  in the most prestigious consulting, financial and IT institutions located globally e.g., Cisco Systems (Silicon Valley), PriceWaterhouseCoopers (New York), Morgan Stanley (New York), Comarch Global (Miami), Siemens Mobile Communications (Shanghai) or Goodyear (Brussels).
