Among the Best

In this year’s consecutive ranking of the Home&Market monthly, WSB-NLU came second losing only six points to the winner.

WSB-NLU scored the highest number of points as far as studying conditions are concerned and came third, right behind two Warsaw schools in the category: Access to Knowledge.

In this year’s ranking, non-state institutions were ranked in five categories: studying conditions, the school’s life, access to knowledge, resisting commercialization and received accreditations.

In the category ‘Studying Conditions’ the focus was on computer facilities of a school, grants and scholarships available to students, electronic library and access to other libraries in Poland and abroad, a ratio of area of own facilities to a rented area, a number of full-time students per one computer with an Internet connection and a number of students per one place in the school’s dormitory.

The second criterion, ‘The School’s life’, considered functioning of the students’ self-government, existing students societies and interest groups, maintaining contact with alumni, a number of students who had internship in Poland and abroad and the amount received in research grants per lecturer.

The ‘Access to Knowledge” criterion focused on a number of programs offered, an opportunity to receive a Ph.D. and an MBA, a ratio of full-time faculty to all faculty lecturing at the school, a ratio of full-time students to all students; and a number of students to one lecturer with the Professor’s degree.

The last criterion ‘Resisting commercialization’ took into account admission methods as well as the number of applications rejected to the number of candidates.
