Sport Facilities

Since the School's foundation, the administration made efforts to not only to develop facilities needed to educate students in their future professions but also invested in sports infrastructure. Before the end of the 1990s, new covered tennis courts were opened to students, enabling them to practice this discipline. There are two courts there with a high class Plexipave surface, which offers excellent conditions to train and relax.

In 2000, the School opened a new sports complex on campus. The complex consists of:

- a 42 m x 24 m multi-purpose sports field with an artificial surface and seating area for spectators, where various kinds of sports events can be organized; the field can also be used for volleyball and tennis;

- a 42m x24m basketball court with the same surface where volleyball games can also be played ;

- 2 tennis courts covered with an artificial surface and surrounded by a small area for spectators, where tennis can be practiced from spring through the fall.

- a  fitness club building  that houses two small gyms of the total area of 200m2. One of them is a weights room equipped with modern body-building equipment (machines, electric tracks etc) enabling to practice all body-building exercises. The other gym is used for practicing aerobics, dancing and martial arts. The rest of the building houses a massage room, rest rooms, changing rooms and instructors' offices.

In January 2003, a new 1000 m2 -sized sports hall was officially opened, which has enabled to widen the offer of the School's Sports Department for regular and extra-curricular activities. The hall's floor has been specially built for sports purposes and is covered with the highest quality Conipur-type surface. The size of the hall enables to hold three separate activities at once and meets the standards necessary to host national-level competitions.

...I think that the sports facility is a great idea, it allows me to get some exercise and also in a fun way. I love the fact that there are so many options such as rock climbing, swimming, aerobics (my favorite) and the regular gym class. The sports utilities in the US are actually similiar to the present at our school...
